Norbain SA has acquired Jumbo Electronics, the Port Elizabeth-based company that closed the installation arm of its business in 1992 to become the exclusive distributor of Norbain SA product lines in the province.
The previous owner of the distribution business, Leonard van der Schyff, will stay on as manager of the branch.
The premises will do double duty as a Supa-Vu outlet.
Commenting on the deal, Norbain SA managing director, John Loftus, says he is thrilled to have acquired such a strong company, and even more so that the man who had built it from scratch had opted to stay on so that Norbain SA would have the benefit of his local knowledge and expertise.
