ADI joins Axis Africa team

November 2006 News & Events

In May this year, Axis Communications established Axis Communications, Africa Region, taking over the staff and premises of SCS Distribution, its former exclusive distributor. Axis Africa has appointed ADI International South Africa as one of its distributors in the region.

ADI is a global company, part of the Honeywell stable, and will be selling and supporting Axis products in 47 countries on the African continent and neighbouring islands.

Ernest Mallett, product marketing manager Video and Access Control at ADI, explained why ADI is committing to the Axis brand, "Now that the company has changed to Axis Africa we no longer compete in any way, and are able to reach a larger market sector. Our service levels and stock holding have increased significantly. We have a dedicated technical and sales support person from Axis SA, who provides us with high levels of service. Our customers appreciate the fact that they can contact Axis SA at any time for sales or technical support."

Roy Alves, country manager for Axis Africa, comments: "ADI operates across the entire IP market segment, from one device to up to hundreds or thousands, and we are confident it will be able to service customers of all sizes. They have extensive resources in place to assist their channel partners and can provide both hardware and software solutions. It is these attributes that have earned ADI Axis Worldwide Parnership status, and we are very pleased to be extending that relationship to the Africa region."
