A milestone for Milestone IP video

March 2006 News & Events

Milestone Systems, represented in Africa by SCS Distribution, has been listed on Deloitte's European Technology Fast 500 ranking for the third year in a row with consistent growth rates of more than 200%.

This annual ranking has been carried out by Deloitte since 2000, revealing leaders in the European technology industry chosen from more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It is the most objective technology industry ranking, covering sectors including software, Internet, communications and networking, life sciences and biotech, semiconductors and equipment, computers and peripherals. The 500 public and private companies on this prestigious list earn their places based on five-year revenue performance.

Milestone Systems, based in Denmark, is a developer of IP-based video surveillance management systems, making software designed with an open architecture, allowing customers a choice of hardware from manufacturers of network video cameras connected to a LAN, WAN or the Internet. The open platform and advanced technology also allow integration with other systems and devices, adding significant value to a customer's security investment.

Milestone solutions are in operation on more than 100 000 cameras worldwide, in a wide range of industries. "Milestone's continued high growth is testimony to the quality of the software," asserts Roy Alves, MD of SCS.
