Bartronics extends range

October 2005 News & Events

The Multitek range of receivers from Bartronics has grown to include a 999 Printer receiver and a 999 channel digital receiver.

The Multitek format started when the code hopping technology from MicroChip hit the market many years ago. The receiver originally worked only with the code hopping format transmitters produced by Bartronics. As time passed the product was upgraded to include the ability to work with several other remote control formats available on the market. It now even has the ability to work with just the serial numbers of alternative code hopping remote controls. The long range obtainable (up to 1 km depending on exact product used and fitting conditions) will fit most applications.

The first few products in the Multitek format were just the 1, 2 and 3 channel receivers. Later, a 6-channel receiver was added. In recent months a 999 Printer receiver and a 999 Digital receiver have been added to the product lines.

The 999 Printer receiver is capable of recording a 54 character message for each of its 999 channels. Upon receiving a valid remote signal the associated message along with the time and date of the reception is printed on a standard dot matrix printer. The typical applications of this product range from access control logging to recording security response in shopping malls and frail care.

The 999 Digital receiver is a complementary product that can be used in conjunction with the 999 Printer receiver. The large clearly visible display when used with the Printer receiver provides a more cost-effective security response and logging system than a PC-based solution.

The Multitek receivers - when used with the Bartronics true code hopping remotes - are able to provide a complete high security solution with the range and reliability to solve any requirement.
