Autodome wins several awards

July 2004 Surveillance, Integrated Solutions, Financial (Industry), Products & Solutions

The AutoDome with AutoTrack Camera System from Bosch Security Systems has won numerous prestigious awards for excellence in several arenas.

The AutoDome was recently named New Product of the Year for 2003 by Access Control & Security Systems magazine in the US. This award recognises excellence in new product development within the security industry. The award showcases the most innovative product of the year and acknowledges the commitment of the team involved in developing and producing the product from concept through to sales.

A panel of industry professionals and experts selected by the editorial staff of the publication judges the competitors. The panel reviews all entries and narrows the field to finalists in each category.

The jury of the Detektor International Award has also named the AutoDome with AutoTrack 'Best CCTV Product 2003'. The camera system was selected from hundreds of newly launched CCTV-products. Bosch Security Systems was given this award based on the market-oriented features of AutoDome/AutoTrack.

After counting the votes from the eight individuals representing six countries that made up the panel of judges, the AutoDome/AutoTrack was named the undisputable winner of the prestigious Detektor International Award.

"We are proud to have received this acknowledgement of our efforts to bring innovative technology to the CCTV market," comments Alan Antoncich, GM of Bosch Security Systems, Southern Africa. "The AutoDome offers powerful performance while being user friendly and we are looking towards a bright future with enhancements to an already great product."

An AutoDome with AutoTrack has raised video surveillance technology to a new level with a system that automatically tracks motion. The AutoDome monitors an area with a preset tour, but once motion is detected the camera automatically locks onto the subject, zooms in for a better view and follows the subject anywhere within the camera's 360° coverage area. No more missing the action. No more focusing on an intruder only to have him walk out of the frame.

If the AutoDome is connected to a recording device, it immediately begins recording when motion is detected by AutoTrack, making it an ideal low-maintenance solution for a wide variety of applications including prisons, schools, airports and commercial or retail environments.

All AutoDome camera systems integrate easily with the entire line of Bosch surveillance products, including Divar digital versatile recorders and Allegiant matrix switchers.
