Surprise the intruders

InFocus Trading has released the patented VoiceAlert early warning system designed to rob would-be attackers of their element of surprise and transfer it to their intended victims. The key to VoiceAlert's success is that it surreptitiously alerts one of an intruder's presence the moment he or she trespasses, while the intruder remains unaware that the would-be victim has been forewarned.

VoiceAlert combines wireless and digital voice-recording technology to create a portable and cost-effective security system that is easy to install and use. Using an infinite number of wireless passive infra-red (PIR) sensors/transmitters and a remote receiver/speaker base unit, VoiceAlert simultaneously monitors up to six zones. When a zone is breached, a signal is sent up to 300 m (100 m through walls) to the remote base unit. Upon signal reception, the base unit plays the appropriate user (voice-recorded) message for that specific zone, for example 'Intruder in the garage' or 'Prowler on the patio'.

Much like a transistor radio, the receiver/speaker base unit is designed to remain close at hand so that, for example, at 3 am the speaker standing on one's bedside table might replay the message, 'Somebody at the car!' Alternatively, the system allows pre-recorded voice warnings to play through any HiFi, TV or home theatre system when burglars cross the property boundary. The addition to the VoiceAlertr system is a simple and standard audio-out plug that plugs straight into any audio-in plug on amplifiers and TVs.

Without turning on a light, getting out of bed or wasting time to cross-reference a trespass with a zone legend, the homeowner can instantly know the exact location of the threat and react appropriately.

"Burglars have traditionally targeted HiFis and TVs for theft, but now a simple addition to our technology gives those same HiFis and TVs a powerful voice to warn home-owners when trespassers cross the boundary onto one's property or approach one's parked car (outside). Of course, the VoiceAlert system goes even further than that and can also warn through the HiFi when toddlers approach the swimming pool or pets jump onto furniture," says Michael Smorenburg, marketing director of InFocus Trading, master distributors of the VoiceAlert system.

"When today's thieves trigger a standard burglar alarm siren they do not run away, instead the sound of it raises their urgency and pumps them full of adrenaline, making them more dangerous and ruthless. The VoiceAlert system takes a stealth approach; it gives the prowler no warning that he or she has been detected - and that can mean the difference between life and death. Thieves will not know they have been detected and the all-weather wireless radio transmitting sensors can be placed on the boundaries of a property and so detect a trespasser long before they physically break into a home."

VoiceAlert System is a standalone plug-and-play security solution, which also features multiple 'C' relays and audio-out plugs enabling it to trigger additional devices or to integrate into a larger security or home automation system.
