Forecourt,C-Store and Supermarket Africa'99 set to wow retailers.

June '99 News & Events

Everyday the newspapers highlight armed robberies and cash heists, many of which affect service stations, convenience stores and supermarkets. Forecourt, C/Store and Supermarket Africa have recognised this and are featuring security related products and services in even greater depth than ever at this year's exhibition, which takes place from 20-22 July at the Kyalami Conference and Exhibition Centre, Midrand.

Security products and services

New and innovative products such as bullet proof cash offices, the latest CCTV and anti-fraud services such as Cheque Guarantee Services, fuel tagging software and wet stock control systems. A conference will be held on the 20th July from 08:30 to 17:30, run by C-Stores Conferences in conjunction with the Association of Convenience Stores.

According to Milton Burger, Director of Meto Security Systems, supplier of Milestone Integrated Systems, his company is excited at the prospect of exhibiting at Forecourt Africa again this year. " We took orders for 30 systems at last year's show and immediately after," he said. Many more installations have taken place as a result of following up on enquiries generated at Forecourt Africa. "We have many new and exciting products to show retailers who wish to increase their profits by stopping shoplifting," said Burger.

Now in its fifth year

Now in its fifth successful year, Forecourt, C-Store and Supermarket Africa was originally launched to serve the booming and dynamic service station convenience store market. Demand from exhibitors and visitors alike has seen the exhibition expand to include branded and independent C-Stores and supermarkets, making it the largest triple trade only retail event.

In 1998, 160 exhibitors were on show and more than 200 are expected at Forecourt, C-Store and Supermarket Africa '99. Says organiser Ian Gersun, "We expect some than 5,000 visitors to attend Forecourt, C-Store and Supermarket Africa '99, significantly up from 1998's 3,900."
