CNL Software combines PSIM with 3D visualisation

August 2011 Integrated Solutions, Surveillance, News & Events

CNL Software has announced a technology partnership with Coherent Synchro, developers of specialised open 3Dimension visualisation software.

The partnership will bring together CNL Software’s PSIM software with 3D visualisation from Coherent Synchro. The solution will allow all assets, cameras and critical points to be accurately plotted onto the 3D mapping surface. This will give operators the ability to walk through buildings and guide ground staff in the event of an incident. Additionally, it will allow operators to graphically view multilayer live video overlays, giving accurate 3D perspectives for real time situation management.

The addition of IPSecurityCenter PSIM to this mapping ensures every alarm is linked to its real world location on the 3D mapping surface. As soon as an alarm enters the system, the operator can select that alarm to automatically graphically view its geographic location. All security information is integrated within the same 3D map. This allows an operator to simultaneously see all other relevant information related to that location, such as cameras that are present with live video feeds, nearby access control points with data on who has passed through most recently, and contextual information such as hazardous materials nearby.

The solution enables real-time situational awareness, coupled with instant access to resources required to remotely manage any incident. All of the aggregated intelligence can be distributed to other operators to form a shared common operating picture (COP).
