Dynamic Drop Arm Barrier

The Turnstar Dynamic Drop Arm Barrier has an ultra-slim cabinet design and is fitted with Turnstar’s SwiftDrive. At only 171 mm wide, it is the slimmest drop arm barrier on the South African market. The attractive and durable cabinet can be supplied in 304 or 316 grade brushed stainless steel (ideal for corrosive environments).

Suited to medium-volume access and medium-level security applications such as office reception areas, health clubs, universities and libraries, theb Dynamic Drop Arm Barrier not only allows special needs access, but is also fitted with two embedded optical sensors to ensure the safe passage of pedestrians through the barrier.

The barrier integrates with all access control, ticketing and time and attendance systems and allows fast throughput with opening and closing speeds of 1 and 1,5 seconds respectively. SwiftDrive technology provides a 100% duty cycle, with seamless, precise speed control through dynamic braking and slow stop. Its intelligent collision detection – provided through motor-embedded Hall sensors – and mid-cycle auto-reverse, add to the barrier’s safety-centric features.
