End-customer voice fraud protection

Oculeus-Protect, distributed locally by SS Telecoms, is an end-customer-centric anti-fraud system which allows users to protect customer accounts in real-time against fraudulent activities that include:

• PBX hacking, toll fraud.

• SIP account hijacking.

• Wangiri, trap calls.

• SIM boxing.

• National to international bypass.

• Fair usage abuse.

The system achieves this by hooking into the signalling flow of SIP-IP communication at the stage where customers set up calls and it uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to understand, within milliseconds, whether calls are part of regular customer behaviour or not.

Oculeus-Protect is accessible through a quick and straightforward registration process. During this process, the enterprise’s PBX system is registered and configured so that the signalling flows of calls are monitored. After this registration and configuration is completed, the Oculeus service immediately protects the enterprise’s voice communications (up to 100 000 customers with just one application) against PBX hacking and toll fraud, without any impact on the quality of the calls.

As a further benefit of its design, Oculeus-Protect is able to see all voice communication in a telco network in real time. The PBX remains totally secure. Oculeus does not access any of the private data inside the PBX because all that is transmitted to the anti-fraud controller is the signalling data, not the voice call content.

Oculeus-Protect runs 100% on Linux, its interfaces are 100% web-based and it does not require a separate database licence.
