Optimal security from Elvey

Access & Identity Management Handbook 2005 News & Events

Previously, people were combining quality of life with health and fitness. These days, increasingly, people recognise security as the key to quality of life, the idea being, to protect their loved ones and possessions to make them feel better.

Security optimisation is really not a hard task. You must be aware, though, that tips, techniques and technologies that used to work years ago are no longer effective. Before, as security measures got more advanced, so too did intruders. Nowadays, foolproof security solutions are being offered. One of the prime aspects involved is choosing a dependable security solution, ie, one that offers peace of mind.

Elvey Security Technologies optimises security by providing ideal security systems and equipment for the security-conscious consumer.

Elvey at a glance

Elvey Security Technologies is proudly a leading distributor of electronic security products in South Africa.

While Elvey does not sell a product, but rather a service, good service implies having excellent products. The company has ensured that this is achieved through the solid relationships established with its premier suppliers.

Elvey has established relationships with corporations in other parts of the world, including Optex (Japan), Alarmcom (Switzerland), GE (USA), DSC (Canada), Samsung (Korea) and many others, all of whom have always been involved in the creation, development and manufacture of the industry's most reliable security systems and software.

Elvey is currently represented at branch level throughout South Africa, in all the major city centres as well as in Windhoek in Namibia and Harare in Zimbabwe.

Elvey introduces a new brand symbol

Elvey Security Technologies is proud to introduce a refreshed corporate branding campaign that includes a new logo, as a reflection of its recent reorganisation. The new logo is an updated look that was designed to help reconstruct Elvey as a brand so that it better meets the needs of the current era.

The new logo will be used at every opportunity to improve Elvey's brand value and to promote the corporate values of Elvey. It will also be used for all product packaging and communication tools.

New symbol background

With a long history of supplying exceptional products, Elvey has established a brand image that reinforces superior quality and reliability. "Given today's constantly changing business conditions, it is essential that we recognise the need for greater emphasis on technological innovation and sensitivity to changing trends, in order to strengthen our competitiveness and improve value," says Elvey's commercial director, Dave Waywell.

The introduction of a refreshed corporate branding is yet another essential part of Elvey's progression. The new logo retains elements of the legacy logo in order to preserve Elvey's heritage and brand recognition as a well-established company with a reputation for technological excellence and product innovation. The streamlined logo reflects the companies' focus and optimism as it looks toward the opportunities ahead.

"A logo is more than a symbol of a company name," says Jack Edery, CEO. "It is a visual representation of our corporate culture and values, service and technology. Our refreshed image highlights our vitality and continued commitment to our customers to deliver the most innovative products and highest levels of service, before, during and after deployment of our products."

Brand symbol design

The corporate colour that we are recognised by has been preserved ie, blue. The logo is simpler in design denoting our streamlined operations while the bold effect symbolises our continued quest to provide excellent service and quality products allowing 'Elvey' to be more distinctive in the logo with the addition of a fresh and innovative design
