Major expansion for AST

February 2003 News

Alien Systems & Technology has recently extended its manufacturing and office facilities, more than doubling its production capability. The fast track building phase was completed in December last year and incorporated a brand new factory complex, linked to the existing multistorey factory and office facility.

"The new building incorporates 'clean' working conditions for a new automatic electronic robotic production facility. Existing electronic assembly, together with the computer controlled plastic injection moulding line, will be moved to the new facility, thus freeing considerable working area for the manufacture of both Pyroshield and Pyrogen systems", says managing director Paul Wright.

"The massive growth of the business coincides with our expansion into Europe and is part of our long term strategy of growth and the building of strategic alliances with our business partners, it is no coincidence that we are closely involved with Pyrogen (UK) or that there is one common managing director for both Pyrogen and Pyroshield", says Wright.

It is envisaged that the expansion will better enable the company to service existing customers and develop new products for the local and international markets.
