Blick Southern Africa define channel strategy

December 2002 News & Events

Blick South Africa, a specialist in security, communication and time management solutions, is expanding its SA presence with an aggressive and well defined channel strategy designed to increase exposure in the South African and sub-Saharan Africa regions.

Blick South Africa under its management team has ambitious growth objectives for the next three years with a significant portion of the growth expected to come from the Reseller Channel. The organisation has traditionally distributed product to the market via a direct sales force, however in order to reach new heights, Blick have opted to appoint resellers who will aggressively attack the market and achieve consistent results with its locally manufactured product, BlueLine.

Blick currently have 24 small to medium sized resellers, marketing the product range - the number of resellers is not expected to grow significantly - the objective is to appoint select 'partners' who can add value through their skills, sales force and implementation teams. Full training is provided to all resellers at no charge in order to ensure that there is adequate transfer of skills to the channel. Both sales and technical training is offered to resellers country-wide on a regular basis. As a subsidiary of Blick plc, Blick SA also offers clients rental options - this facility is available to any of our resellers as an option.

Angie Samuel, newly appointed channel manager for Blick South Africa, said the resellers who are not in a position to provide support, also have the option of leveraging off Blick's infrastructure and will be rewarded for signing Service Level Agreements (SLA) with their customers and do not need to invest in their own staff as Blick can provide the customers with support.
