Remote CCTV monitoring

November 2001 Surveillance

Ademco's Video Transpac range of digital recorders and transmitters suits any type of installation on any communication network, and its PC reception software enables users to carry out remote management and surveillance of an unlimited number of CCTV installations from a remote location.

"Monitoring via CCTV is commonplace in many applications these days," says TeqTrader's CCTV Systems Consultant Clint Odendaal, "The difference with Transpac is that it enables monitoring and surveillance from a remote location of the user's choice. This could be head office, another branch office or even from home."

Transpac offers simultaneous recording and transmission. The units also offer internal modems and utilise various communication protocols such as PSTN, ISDN, GSM or TCP/IP. A total of three series in the range offer features suitable for small shops and geographically dispersed medium-sized installations through to professional video surveillance of medium to large remote installations.
