Sensormatic Electronics Corporation recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of Taiwan-based security systems integrator, Enable Systems Engineering Company. Enable, based in Taipei, is a leading high-end security systems integrator with significant experience in the design, installation and service of both access control and video surveillance systems. Enable brings a roster of prestigious customers to Sensormatic, including TSMC, Etron Technology, Far EasTone Telecom and Bank of China. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"The acquisition of Enable makes Sensormatic the first nonTaiwanese-based security company to deal directly in this expanding market," stated Per-Olof Loof, Sensormatic's President and CEO. "Not only does this give us excellent opportunities to expand our market share in this part of the world, it also provides us with a talented group of individuals with outstanding expertise in the area of systems integration."
