Aluvin gets sole distributorship for Envopak

October 2001 News & Events

Leading local security seal manufacturer and distributor, Aluvin Securiseal has been appointed by the Envopak Group as its sole South African distributor.

Bob Kirby, Managing Director of Envopak Group in Kent, UK, said, on his recent visit to this country, that South Africa is Envopak's second largest export market and growing rapidly.

"Millions of rands are spent annually in South Africa on Envopak re-usable bags for the security and protection of cash and valuables during transit and storage," said Kirby. "With the appointment of Aluvin, one of South Africa's most advanced security seal manufacturers and distributors, we are confident that we will grow this market substantially in the future."

Kevin Norwitz, Managing Director of Aluvin, said that the company, together with Envopak, will be looking at specialised sectors such as hospitals, banks, retailers and other markets which have their own specific security requirements. "In the health industry for example, audit trails are becoming more important and this is just one good example of an area in which we believe we can contribute with specific products. It is with this type of focus that we will add enormous value to the security sealing market in South Africa," said Norwitz.

According to Kirby, Envopak has embarked on a worldwide programme to limit its number of distributors and, in South Africa, Aluvin was the natural choice as sole distributor. The two companies have been working together for many years and have developed a close working relationship.

"By working with fewer, more effective distributors we will be able to more easily focus on the specific needs of our customers. We have worked with Aluvin for a long time and we have no doubt that they have the expertise to continue to grow the market in this country for all our products," he said.

Norwitz said that being awarded the sole distributorship for all Envopak products is a major boost to his company and its customers. "Envopak has over the years become the international benchmark for such products and our customers can now be completely confident that they will be getting the genuine product as opposed to inferior imitations," concluded Norwitz.
