July 2010 News & Events

Tyco Security Products is expanding its commitment to sub-Saharan Africa by recruiting two additional people to strengthen its existing infrastructure in the region.

“Ernest Mallett joins us as regional sales manager, Sub Saharan Africa, from many years at ADI Global where he served various roles, most recently product and marketing manager,” says Phil Dashey, vice president and general manager EMEA, Tyco Security Products. “Konrad Weinert joins us as technical sales manager for the region, from four years at Honeywell where he was the sales leader for Africa. Ernest has previously worked for Sensormatic and as such already has invaluable knowledge of our core brands within Tyco Security Products.”

“Tyco has been active in this market for some time and has made the decision to strengthen its presence with the addition of dedicated personnel, who will be based in Midrand,” says Mallett. “The company is committed to developing this market and we will support all video, access control and intrusion products from the Tyco Security Products portfolio. Tyco sees this as a very progressive market where we can accelerate our growth.”

Tyco Security Products, a business unit of Tyco International, is a group of access control, video and intrusion brands. These brands include some of the best names in the business, such as American Dynamics (video), Software House, CEM Systems, Kantech (access control), DSC, Bentel and Sur-Gard (intrusion).

“Through the combined efforts of these brands, Tyco has more years of experience in the security industry than any other group in the world,” adds Mallet. “Our security integration platforms, built by our developers from across all product disciplines, allow our customers to see more, do more and save more. Our solutions today are designed to be compatible with the technology of tomorrow.”

In more than 60 countries with more than 112 000 employees around the world, Tyco supports its global, local, and regional customers to the highest level with sales, technical support and customer service before, during, and after the sale. Its channel of dealers, integrators and distributors are trained to help customers with any complex problem in virtually any industry.
