Spectrum Communications is the country's fastest growing security wholesale company. Being a member of the CJ Petrow Group of companies, Spectrum was nominated for the last three years as one of South Africa's Top 300 Companies. Established in 1973, the company is a major player in the security industry supplying an entire range of security products to the trade.

Spectrum is the official South African agent for Paradox security systems, alarms and Garrison infrared twin beams and various CCTV products. The sophisticated yet user-friendly Paradox range has become well known in the industry and proved to be reliable and well designed. From motion detectors and control panels to wireless accessories and keypads, Paradox manufactures innovative products to meet any residential, commercial or industrial security need.

Being the largest supplier in South Africa of sealed lead-acid batteries, Spectrum is able to offer reliable high-performance sealed maintenance-free lead acid batteries. The company also stocks a full range of alarm accessories, cables and remotes.

Spectrum is an agent for Codan HF radios, HYT portable radios, Yaesu mobile, Isofoton solar panels, CSI tone panels as well as a wide range of radio accessories and power supplies. HYT is one of the five largest two-way radio manufacturers in the world and its quality and competitively priced radios are fast becoming well known throughout South Africa. It also supplies turnkey projects and telemetry systems.

In addition, Spectrum has a highly trained technical support team standing by to offer its clients expert advice (telephonic and on-site). The support team offers training programs aimed at enhancing the product knowledge as well as the routine troubleshooting requirements that any installer should come across. Free end-user software is available to simplify management and programming.

The head office is based in Cape Town, with branches also operational in Johannesburg, East London and Durban, Spectrum provides security expertise, customer support and a wide range of products.
