Stallion hosts third Technology Day

Issue 1 2020 News & Events

Stallion Security hosted its third annual Technology Day in late November 2019 along with a number of its partners and suppliers. Due to the growth of the event over the past years, this year’s event was held at the Wanderers club in Johannesburg. Participating and supporting the event were Reditron, Regal, Sensor, Lunar X, Pentagon, Elvey, MiRO, Specialised Battery Systems, Teleye and GO UAV, Fibre Base Integration, ISDS, Compass Security, MASC, Gallagher, Turnstar and Vodacom.

Kevin Monk, MD Electronics at Stallion says the event was a great success with hundreds of clients and prospective clients visiting during the day to see what the company and its partners can offer in terms of security solutions. “Stallion and our various partners were able to set up displays showcasing the leading solutions on the market, specifically with respect to the latest in the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI).

“The growth in the market and within specific technology sectors allowed visitors to see how the latest solutions from leading brands could extend their current security systems to deliver improved safety and security. The experienced people on the various stands made it easy for visitors to learn about what was on offer and make informed decisions on what the market has to offer and how it can fit into their own environments.”

On the other side of the table, Monk added that the partners were impressed at the number and, more importantly, the quality of the attendees who were very knowledgeable in terms of the industry and what they were looking for.

“The 2019 Technology Day was the biggest and most successful event Stallion has held and the Wanderers venue was superb,” Monk says. “After the morning’s exhibition, everyone enjoyed lunch hosted by comedian Chris Forrest to ensure everyone enjoyed the day.

“It was a great day overall and Stallion would like to thank our partners and suppliers for contributing to a successful and worthwhile event. We will definitely hold the event again in 2020.”
