Longse Distribution to become LD Africa

Issue 1 2020 News & Events

Brendon Whelan, sales manager for Longse Distribution, announced that the company officially changed its name to LD Africa as of 20 January 2020.

Whelan explained that the new name would reflect the evolving focus and standards of the business. LD Africa is still a distributor of close circuit television (CCTV) equipment, but now also distributes video management software (VMS), mobile surveillance products, network supplies and access control solutions.

Moreover, LD Africa is still the sole distributor for Longse Technology CCTV cameras and equipment and can supply to all system integrators and installers demands – with a wide range of physical security solutions. LD Africa offers products via its partners and supports their solutions.

HORED expanding into southern Africa

LD Africa is the exclusive partner and representative of Longse Technology and Matrix Comsec, and a preferred distributor for Axxonsoft VMS products in South Africa. It has also recently partnered with HORED.

Shenzhen Fengrunda Technology Co., founded in 2011 and referred to as HORED, is an IoT solution provider with data transmission as its core. HORED is a cloud-based IoT integrated solution provider.

With continuous research and development investment and independent technological innovation, HORED provides complete product and system solutions for smart networks, small homes and smart apartments and smart industrial IoT, while continuing to create high quality and cost effective value for cities, enterprises and individual users.

According to Whelan, LD Africa can now support the strong interest from resellers and installers in the southern African region through a nationwide service network.
