Efficient access management

Access & Identity Management Handbook 2020 Access Control & Identity Management

ZKBioSecurity can be applied to projects varying in sizes with multi-biometrics and integrated solutions.

ZKBioSecurity, an ‘all-in-one’ Web browser-based security platform developed by ZKTeco, has become more optimised and professional. It now contains multiple integrated modules such as: access control, time and attendance, consumption management, elevator control (online/offline), hotel lock management, visitor management, parking management, guard patrol and video linkage.

ZKBioSecurity is fully compatible with the innovative SilkID – FBI Certified (PIV07100) – fingerprint sensors, as well as the Green Label Premium series, and it supports:

Up to 2000 doors in single-server and unlimited doors in multi-server.

Visible light facial recognition device series.

ZKBioSecurity mobile client for various operations.

Advanced access control features (global anti-passback, global linkage, global interlock, etc.).

LCD screen for lobby to display real-time event records.

Time and attendance devices, doors and LPR cameras to generate the time and attendance logs.

LPR cameras and UHF readers for parking systems.

Video integration with third-party devices.

Accurate OCR (optical character recognition).

Integration with Arteco video software and C2P middleware, and connects with Milestone.

ZKBioHA high-availability system to ensure 24/7 continuous system operation.

Better access control management experience

ZKBio Access is a reliable access control module for up to 10 doors. It comes with a user-friendly interface design and simplified system architecture to ensure better access control management.

For employees, this module includes department management and personnel management. Department management is designed to set the company’s organisational chart. Personnel management is used to manage and record personnel information, assign departments and sub-departments (in excess of 10 levels), and to maintain and update personnel settings.

ZKBio Access has a user-friendly personnel registration interface which enables administrators to input staff information and conduct personnel enrolment. For the enrolment process, the module is compatible with most Prox card formats, such as EM, MIFARE, DESFire EV1, DESFire EV2, Logic, HID Proximity, HID iClass, Felica, Type B (ISO14443-B) and others.

Automatic number plate verification

An increasing number of parking facilities and vehicle management areas are beginning to use licence plate recognition (LPR) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) products to provide convenient user experiences.

LPR products do not need parking cards, so the automatic licence plate recognition enables fast vehicle access to parking, thus reducing the inconvenience of presenting a card at the entrance and exit points.

UHF RFID readers can simultaneously read multiple passive UHF tags at ranges of up to 12 metres. The reader is waterproof and is suitable for use in a wide range of RFID applications, such as transport management, vehicle management, car parking, production process control and access control.

Elevator control solution

Elevators are a necessity of modern living and destination-based dispatching systems are playing an important role in controlling various numbers of elevators, depending on the selected control panel. Such systems can improve people flow, business security and reduce costs, especially for tall buildings with a high number of staff and visitors.

ZKTeco elevator control allows different users to access doors or floor levels they are assigned to. In the actual implementation, users have to present a card at the elevator and the elevator will allow the user to reach their assigned level. This will enable better security management of the whole building via elevator access control using the elevator controller installed on each elevator car.

Ultimately, the ZKBioSecurity platform can be applied to projects varying in size, with multi-biometrics and integrated solutions to enhance user security levels.
