UltraView enterprise video platform

CCTV Handbook 2018 Surveillance

The UltraView video management system is a comprehensive video surveillance solution designed to protect people, property and critical infrastructure. This system integrates smart-software and engineered-hardware video network encoders and recorders, creating a customisable solution that meets a wide range of video management needs. UltraView facilitates system growth and efficiently manages the complexity that comes with it.

The platform was developed with scalability in mind – providing the open architecture necessary to expand the analytical capabilities of security systems that meet business’ evolving security needs. This is accomplished by seamlessly integrating with other security sub-systems, such as access control, intrusion, fire, building automation and more.

The UltraView suite also features an extensive Software Development Kit (UVSDK) that enables the creation of fully personalised user interfaces, capable of managing, recording, viewing and monitoring your entire video system.

The UltraView platform consists of two core components: The first is the UltraView Operating System, the robust, reliable and scalable recording engine that can record, view and analyse video in small- to large-scale systems using a distributed architecture. It uses software- and hardware-based recorders, multiple storage topologies, advanced video compression technology and common operating software.

The second component is the UltraView Security Centre, which represents the front-end or user interface. It is a complete server/client operator application featuring software video wall, extensive alarm action possibilities, customisable viewing layouts, forensic tools, maps and more.
