PSS Distributors

1 May 2016 News & Events, Conferences & Events

PSS Distributors will be introducing its new 12 V 8 Ah gel battery. The battery has been subjected to 100 repetitive tests that indicate a single battery can run a single PC for 40 minutes. The gel cell battery excels in slow discharge rates and allows slightly higher ambient operating temperatures than your standard SLA batteries. Though a 8 Ah battery, the casing is exactly the same dimensions as the standard 12 V 7 Ah battery. This makes it ideal for alarm systems, access control, gate motors and other security related products.

PSS Distributors will also showcase its true online double conversion MP-Series UPS. The MP Series UPS comes in three sizes, 1, 2 and 3 kVA models. The units are perfect for DVRs or servers in server rooms. Mains are continuously filtered. Dips, spikes, surges, high/low voltages are eliminated by the double conversion technology by the input power being converted to direct current and then inverted to alternating current.

SH Series inverters will also be on show. These robust built inverters supply pure sine wave whether on mains or battery. Sine wave is an absolute must when it comes to running expensive security equipment on batteries for long durations of time. The SH Series Inverter ranges from 600 VA to 5000 VA, offering backup times up to 12 hours load-dependent. 24-hour systems have been supplied, however the company recommends systems no larger than 12 hours.
