BetaTrac’s new RapidTrac Compact vehicle tracking module has been specifically designed for the integration into its AIMSS guarding solutions. It is an all-in-one device that is easy and simple to install into armed response vehicles or all security vehicles in general. In conjunction with AIMSS (Analytical Intelligent Management Security Solutions) software running 24x7 in the control room, live vehicle tracking is initiated for maintaining constant vigilance to what is happening in the field of operations.

The AIMSS control room software started life in 2004 and is an extremely robust platform for today’s security demands and reporting. An additional feature of the new RapidTrac tracking module is that BetaTrac has linked the vehicle module to the back-end of its guard patrol system, called eGuard.

Now, when a guard on patrol is in duress or needs urgent support, by pressing a panic button, the AIMSS software goes into System Alert mode, locating the guards position and showing all the details, including medical data of the guard on duty. The software then locates the nearest vehicle automatically, taking a chunk of pressure off the control room operators in finding the nearest vehicle – the AIMSS platform does this automatically.

Therefore, dispatching a vehicle becomes a simple, fast and efficient process as in situations like this speed of arrival is critical to saving a life or assisting in responding to the problem.

In addition, the RapidTrac Compact vehicle module sends daily email reports of routes, stop/starts, mileage, and driver behaviour as an extra benefit to the fleet manager. In today’s world on high fuel costs, tight controls avoiding unnecessary travels and misuse of fleet vehicles is important.
