A conventional 2-wire fire alarm system is often the natural choice for smaller applications or where budget constraints exist. Fike’s TWINFLEXpro 2-wire fire alarm system has long been known for its adaptability and cost-effectiveness within a variety of applications.
Building on those strengths, and designed for ease of use, the TWINFLEXpro is the next generation in 2-wire fire alarms. This fire alarm panel incorporates Fike’s multipoint detection system using smoke and heat detectors with built-in sounder, allowing the whole system to be installed using only one pair of wires per zone. That means easier, faster installations and cost savings.
The 4- and 8-zone versions can be linked to up to seven repeater panels, while the 4-zone panel can be upgraded to an 8-zone with the addition of a zone card. Operation with integral sounder means that false alarm management can be achieved by only the sounder associated with the device in alarm activation. Once the inspection delay has expired, if the device is still in alarm, it will activate a common fire and all the sounders will activate. However, if in the inspection delay the condition has cleared, the alarm will not generate a general alarm and reset to normal condition.
