MiRO adds Uniview

January 2016 News & Events, Surveillance

MiRO has extended its security technology offering with the addition of Uniview IP cameras, digital video recording systems and video management software.

Jan Keyser, CTO at MiRO, says that the Uniview brand offers leading technology only seen in high end products, yet at extremely competitive prices. “This brand will provide our customers with a complete surveillance and recording solution, all backed by the MiRO stamp of approval. As a leading distributor of converged IP solutions and security, the Uniview range complements and fortifies our current technology offering.”

Uniview IP cameras have a number of features that provide superior image quality in demanding applications. The 3D digital noise reduction feature delivers sharper, more accurate images and Smart Infrared adjusts the intensity of the camera’s infrared LEDs to compensate for the distance of an object so that the infrared does not overexpose the object. Uniview’s 120 dB true WDR provides a clear image with rich details in environments where there is a sharp contrast in light conditions and the patented high light compensation makes Uniview ideal for conditions where overexposure to light is an issue.

Uniview cameras deploy advanced networking protocols which ensure that even if the full network capacity is unavailable, they will still provide a smooth image and recording. This network auto adaptability feature allows uninterrupted communication even where slow or low bandwidth is an issue, such as remote monitoring over the Internet. Uniview’s revolutionary defog feature provides up to 200% more visibility during inclement weather. The cameras have smart temperature control that allows them to operate without difficulty in temperatures fluctuating between -40 up to +70°C, making them ideal for any environment.

The Uniview network video recorders have PoE+ ports that allow camera distances of up to 200 m over standard CAT5 cable. Supplied standard with built-in surge protection, these devices feature Uniview Block Storage, providing much higher disk efficiency which results in no disk fragmentation and speeds up installation, as no pre-formatting is needed.

Keyser says that Uniview will benefit from the relationship by gaining entry into a well-established customer base. The advantages to MiRO customers are clear, with superior proven technology backed up by a strong pre-sales support and technical team at MiRO.
