Vision Consulting launches Tiandy

July 2015 News & Events

Vision Consulting has been a part of the CCTV distribution trade for a decade and is home to a number of imported brands of surveillance equipment, with the newest partnership being with Tiandy Digital Technology, for whom Vision Consulting is the sole distributor in South Africa.

Tiandy is one of the top 10 video surveillance manufacturers in China and is one of the top 50 CCTV manufacturers in the world. It offers a full range of IP products, with an R&D team of over 500 engineers. Tiandy offers innovative technology to support partners in different applications within the CCTV industry by following ISO9001 standards and a strict internal QC system to help lower the defect rate of its product to less than 0.3%. Moreover, Tiandy is an ONVIF Full Member, which allows the products to work perfectly with most of the popular brands of IP products in the market.

Some of the Tiandy IP cameras offer features such as WDR technology to ensure the image details of bright and dark areas, and Corridor Mode, in which an image can be converted from 16:9 to 9:16 (rotated 90°), used for indoor narrow corridor scenes. It also offers Day/Night Confocal, offering high-quality glass lenses, aided by special optical design to reduce light refraction. The PTZ dome camera boasts features such as perimeter and tripwire intelligent analytic functions with auto-tracking capabilities consisting of built-in advanced moving object detection and tracking technology.

The Tiandy NVR range of products includes 16/32/64 channel models that support IPC plug-and-play as well as smart search to easily find the area incursion or IVA records along with a high performance chip new generation DSP. It is based on the Strongene HEVC/H.265 encoder, the world’s first general-purpose HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding)/H.265 video encoder.
