Technology and people are the perfect couple?

1 June 2014 Conferences & Events

How smart is technology and what are the human implications of making it work? Moreover, how do we get technology and humans working together optimally?

At iLegal 2014, set to be held on 5th August 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rosebank, Johannesburg, Craig Donald, MD of Leaderware will discuss our expectations of technology and how human factors need to be integrated in order to deliver effective performance from systems.

In his presentation on Smart Surveillance: The integration of technology and human factors, Donald will discuss how well trained employees can be held to a higher standard and take advantage of everything today’s technology has to offer. The result is a better security service and happier customers.

And while managing a control room is no simple task, managing a fleet of vehicles on South Africa’s roads can be even more stressful. Pieter Swanepoel, project manager at Fidelity Security Services will be at iLegal 2014 to talk about the dynamics of remote vehicle surveillance.

From day-to-day monitoring operations to handling truck highjacking in real time, on the move, Swanepoel will highlight the systems, operational responses and human needs required for successful high-tech monitoring of vehicles. He will also examine the what and how of interventions when things happen to vehicles potentially hundreds of kilometres away from your control room.
