Transported Asset Protection Association Workgroup

The South African Transported Asset Protection Association Workgroup will be holding training workshops on the 25th and 26th June 2014, hosted at Hewlett Packard, 12 Autumn Road, Rivonia. The training will start at 09h00 each day. A full agenda will be sent out to all attendees before the workshop.

The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is a unique forum that unites global manufacturers, logistics providers, freight carriers, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing losses from international supply chains. Today, in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and Asia, TAPA’s membership is at its highest ever level – and growing month-on-month. The Association’s 600+ members include many of the world’s leading manufacturing brands as well as their logistics and transport providers with combined annual sales of over US$900 billion.

The Association’s Security Requirements are recognised globally as the industry standard for cargo facility and transport security. TAPA’s Incident Information Service (IIS) constantly captures and shares data, enabling you to use the latest cargo crime intelligence to avoid incident ‘hotspots’, protect your goods in transit and, if required, to report and trace stolen property. The association regularly consults at the highest level of relevant government departments and with law enforcement agencies to support the requirements of its members in their campaign to reduce crime.

This training workshops will cover the new 2014 TAPA Freight Security Requirements on the 1st day, 25th June and the 2014 TAPA Truck Security Requirements on the 2nd day, 26th June.
