Philip Coetzee the father of current MD Johan Coetzee started the company in 1993 when he realised, while working for the Department of Public works, that government departments would need qualified service providers. Since then it has grown steadily, employs over 300 staff members and is still expanding. Coetzee says the company is on a constant drive to improve the skills of its staff in order to deliver better service to clients and broaden the horizons for its employees.

The services and products Multi-Net provides fall into the following areas:

* CCTV-IP and analogue surveillance.

* Access control using biometrics and/or card systems.

* Fire Detection – Point and HSSD/aspiration smoke detection systems.

* Gas suppression and sprinkler systems.

* Public and evacuation solutions.

* Building management systems.

* Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

* General electrical contractor services.

Far from merely providing products, Coetzee says Multi-Net provides a complete solution service from design to installation and maintenance of solutions that are customised to each customer’s requirements. In fact, Coetzee says it is in the area of service excellence that Multi-Net differentiates itself from its competition.

“Our customers choose to employ only one service provider for their whole solution because they then have only one number to call if there’s a problem,” he says. “It also makes the logistics and the overall flow of information easier and more efficient.

“If our service and after-sales service is of a high standard, we know customers will be satisfied and it will result in a long and beneficial relationship for everybody involved. The fact that we have clients who have been with us since the beginning is evidence that Multi-Net practices what it preaches when it comes to service.”

Coetzee says the company is also committed to the upliftment of the local community and being a primary job creator. “Our objective is to provide employment and training to local PDIs and make a significant difference in the lives of our people.

Multi-Net Systems has a Level 4 BEE certification, ISO 9001 certification, Electrical Contractors Registration Certificate, A.S.I.B. registration, and is a registered member of PSIRA and the FDIA. The company is currently focusing on improving its BEE certification and achieving ISO 14001 and 18001 compliance.

Multi-Net Systems is dedicated to continue its policy of providing an efficient and reliable service to clients in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of electronic building services. Coetzee says, “Our vision is to provide a superior service in all aspects and this is a vision we live by daily.”
