Chubb Fire and Security expands footprint in East London

Chubb Fire and Security SA has expanded its presence in the Eastern Cape with the opening of its new branch office in East London. Chubb is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

“The expansion of Chubb Fire and Security enables the company to meet its customers’ growing demand for services in East London and has also created employment opportunities in the area,” said Stefan Oberholtzer, MD, Chubb Fire and Security SA.

Chubb has invested in a vehicle fleet enabling the company to offer one of the lowest client-to-vehicle ratio offered by any security organisation in the area.

The East London office will be headed up by Francois Erasmus, who has been in the security industry for the past 15 years and with Chubb for the last three years. The local team will focus on providing fire and security solutions to clients.

Chubb Fire and Security has numerous computerised alarm monitoring centres, all of which are approved by the South African Intruder Detection Services Association and linked via a network that has many levels of redundancy.
