February 2013 News & Events

IFSEC South Africa, the biggest commercial security, homeland security and fire exhibition on the African continent has won the 2012 EXSA Award for the Best Trade Exhibition in the 6000–12 000 sq.m. category.

Held on Wednesday 21 November 2012 at Monte Casino in Johannesburg, the Annual EXSA (Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa) Awards evening brings the leading industry venues, organisers, exhibition designers, stand builders, service companies and associate organisations together to celebrate the year’s best stand designs, events and organising companies.

“The UBM Montgomery team is delighted to receive recognition for IFSEC South Africa at the most prestigious awards ceremony in the industry,” says Ross Cullingworth portfolio director at UBM Montgomery, organisers of IFSEC South Africa.

“After almost two decades, IFSEC South Africa remains the largest security and fire exhibition of its kind in Africa, and we look forward to taking the show to even greater heights as we prepare for IFSEC South Africa 2013, to be held in June this year.”

Cullingworth goes on to say that IFSEC South Africa is an event that has grown over the years to become the chosen destination for security professionals who come from all over the African region to source leading security innovations. “IFSEC South Africa is the ideal platform for leading companies to highlight the latest security, fire technology and services to key decision-makers and buyers. We had almost 6000 visitors at the 2012 event from government, trade and end-user markets, as well as some 200 exhibitors.”
