Secutech announces the date for 2013 show

October 2012 News & Events

Secutech 2013, the business platform for global security players, will be held from 24–26 April 2013 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center in Taiwan.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, the 16th edition of the show is a business platform for global security professionals to find new business opportunities as well as enhance their brand reputation. The show is expected to attract 560 exhibitors and welcome more than 26 000 professional visitors, especially from emerging markets such as ASEAN countries and regions, and Africa.

Commenting on Secutech 2013, Parson Lee, MD of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media said: “This year, a new key visual has been developed, which present clearly what kind of products can be found in Secutech. One of the new initiatives we are introducing in November will be a smartphone application which will enable visitors to register and preview exhibitors’ products. In addition, a business matching service will arrange exclusive meetings for selected buyers to improve sourcing efficiency.

Secutech 2013 covers the security supply chain from components to finished products and solutions, including access control, fire and safety and info security. Exhibitors will be displaying surveillance, intrusion alarms, vehicle security, home and building automation, intercom and many more products.

For easy sourcing, the pavilions will feature different products. The focus will be on the Access Control Pavilion, where the exhibitors will showcase products and services for biometric solutions, from RFID and smart cards to electronic locks. Within this pavilion there will be a newly added zone dedicated to parking equipment.

Secutech also offers a diverse fringe programme with events such as the Composec Conference, Secutech Excellence Award and the Global Digital Surveillance Forum, to keep the audience up-to-date with the latest industry technologies and trends.

Secutech will be held concurrently with Composec, the significant show that displays a wide range of components for the security industry. As the performance of a security device is highly dependent on components, Composec is the root for success in the industry.

Booming markets reinforce show’s importance

Located in Taiwan, Secutech is benefitting from Asia Pacific’s fast developing markets. It is forecasted that the annual security market growth rate in the region will reach USD 3 billion by 2015. It is also predicted that Asia will dominate the global CCTV market by accounting for nearly half of the market by 2013. All these positive market opportunities are reflected by the popularity of Secutech.

In 2012, among 532 participating suppliers, 33% were international exhibitors. The visitor number was 25 510 from 97 countries and regions, representing a 7,3% increase over the previous edition. According to visitors surveyed at the 2012 show, 62% said Secutech is the right place to look for OEM/ODM partners. This proves that the show can bring the right visitors to the suppliers.
