Crime Detection Technologies is a local security innovator specialising in designing and building electronic security devices, mobile remote controlled devices and electronic circuits/kits.
Electronic security products are readily available out there but can only deliver what they are intended to. CDT was originally started in 2007 because of the crime on farms and the fact that these crimes were generally ignored.
CDT’s latest project is a remote controlled mobile device for crowd control. It is a small unit, although big enough so that it cannot be turned over. Cameras can be mounted on it, providing views from four different sides or 360-degree views. You can also attach water cannons, rifles (preferably shooting rubber bullets) to keep crowds under control.
Other projects the company is working on include:
1. Crime prevention/early warning device for farms. Remote controlled device with various electronic sensors and devices mounted on it.
2. Remote neighbourhood moving patrol vehicle, with up to 1000 transmitters (customers).
3. Early warning device for ATM explosions.
