X-Series hybrid solution

IDS has announced the launch of its new X-Series Wireless solution, the X64. The product offers installers the ability to cost-effectively implement anything from a simple domestic application to a fully-featured commercial intrusion solution from the same base panel.

IDS has chosen Duevi, an Italian manufacturer specialising in wireless detection for the past 20 years as its wireless partner of choice. The X-Series Wireless comprises of an IDS-designed and built wireless receiver which is fully integrated into the X64 key bus and supports a full range of Duevi wireless peripherals. IDS has been distributing Duevi throughout Africa for three years and has secured the rights to integrate them into the X64.

Each X64 supports four 16-zone wireless receivers. All zones are fully mappable, allowing anything from 64 wired to 64 wireless zones or any combination of the two. The key-bus integration permits full supervision of alarms, restorals, RF jam and tamper per zone, which can be displayed on the keypad and programmable through to the monitoring station.

In addition, enrolling wireless detectors is simple, either through the keypad or using the new IDSwift 2 software. Another feature is the range transmission test which ensures the detectors are sending a reliable signal to the receiver.
