A platform for access and identity at Securex 2025

SMART Access & Identity 2025 Access Control & Identity Management, Facilities & Building Management

HID Global’s The 2024 State of Physical Access Trend Report highlights the anticipated growth of the biometric access control market, with biometrics expected to be a $136,18 billion global industry by 2031. South African companies involved in the supply of access control technology, security services, and data management are well-positioned to tap into this expanding market.

The projected CAGR of 16,74% in facial recognition technology highlights a trend that could drive local investment and innovation in AI and machine learning, essential for the region’s infrastructure and cyber resilience.

“Securex South Africa, which takes place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 3 to 5 June 2025, is the incubator for current technology trends in the security sector. Our exhibitors are well-known for their ability to bring the latest security solutions to a market hungry for security risk mitigation. Access control and identity management technologies continue to feature strongly in our exhibitor offerings, providing visitors with a wealth of choices all under one roof,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions (a division of Montgomery Group).

“A focus on access control and identity management does not end with the products and services showcased at Securex South Africa. The free-to-attend Securex Seminar Theatre is once again populated with high-end seminar sessions that cover various dimensions of this physical security technology.

Securex South Africa 2025 is again taking place with the well-established A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management Expo, and Firexpo, creating an opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to engage proactively and be solution-driven. “Our website – www.securex.co.za – provides a wealth of information on what potential exhibitors and visitors can expect from the expo,” says Anderson.

Organisations wishing to exhibit at Securex South Africa 2025 can contact the Securex South Africa team on zelda.jordaan@montgomerygroup.com or johan.vanheerden@montgomerygroup.com to book a space or capitalise on a sponsorship opportunity.
