A platform for access and identity at Securex 2025

HID Global’s The 2024 State of Physical Access Trend Report highlights the anticipated growth of the biometric access control market, with biometrics expected to be a $136,18 billion global industry by 2031. South African companies involved in the supply of access control technology, security services, and data management are well-positioned to tap into this expanding market.

The projected CAGR of 16,74% in facial recognition technology highlights a trend that could drive local investment and innovation in AI and machine learning, essential for the region’s infrastructure and cyber resilience.
