Impro Launches Primo v1.4

October 2024 News & Events, Access Control & Identity Management

Impro has announced the launch of Primo v1.4, a significant update to its security management platform. This version introduces a range of powerful features, designed to streamline operations and enhance site security, addressing the growing needs of modern organisations.

Among the key additions is the ‘Still on Site’ report, which offers a solution to a persistent security challenge: monitoring who remains onsite after hours. Whether it is contractors, vendors, or employees, this feature provides a clear view of individuals who may have overstayed their welcome. Beyond bolstering security, the report also addresses operational concerns like unauthorised overtime or payroll discrepancies. It is particularly valuable in high-security sectors such as laboratories and data centres, where compliance is critical. Users can easily stay informed with the option to schedule automated reports.

Primo v1.4 also introduces a General Mustering report, a vital tool for responding to onsite emergencies. The report provides real-time visibility into the status of all personnel during emergencies, ensuring that no one is left unaccounted for. With colour-coded statuses indicating who has safely mustered and who is still unaccounted for, organisations can quickly assess the situation and direct emergency responses more effectively. A detailed audit trail further strengthens safety management, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.

The latest version of Primo takes workforce management to new heights with the Time and Attendance (T&A) integration, now supported by Idemia biometric devices. These devices serve a dual purpose: controlling access while simultaneously recording attendance data. Employees can seamlessly clock in and out using on-screen touch options like “Duty In” or “Start Break”, with all transactions recorded directly in Primo. This integration helps eliminate time fraud, improves payroll accuracy, and streamlines operations, all without the need for additional hardware.

Further enhancing the user experience, Primo v1.4 introduces customisable dashboards and widgets, allowing operators to tailor their interface according to their specific roles. Whether it is a security officer managing gate access or an HR professional responsible for enrolments, the new dashboard makes day-to-day tasks simpler and more intuitive. The result is a more efficient workflow and a user interface that feels personalised to each role.

A Step Towards Smarter Security and Efficiency “We are excited to introduce Primo v1.4, a significant step forward in both security management and operational efficiency,” said Impro Managing Director, Giles Calenborne. “This update delivers the tools our customers need to enhance their site control and improve the overall user experience. With powerful new reporting features and integrated Time and Attendance, we are confident this version will benefit organisations of all sizes.”
