Stafix focuses on local manufacturing

Issue 8 2023 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

Ndlovu Fencing t/a Stafix Security Centres is a South African-owned company committed to providing customers with a choice of quality imported and locally manufactured products that meet the needs of the electronic security market. The company recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and has a total staff contingent of over 250 people. Its product offering is available at all 29 branches of Stafix Security Centres countrywide, having recently opened a branch in Alberton, Gauteng.

Stafix Security Centres has 25 years of experience dealing with system integrators and professional installers and continues to expand throughout South Africa. This also includes a presence in over 55 countries worldwide, either through a branch outlet or working with a trusted partner.

Furthermore, Stafix has four local manufacturing plants employing over 120 people. Stafix Engineering (Vanderbijlpark): This manufacturing business was established in 1996. The activities include steel engineering work and a powder coating plant. It also has three CNC machines producing wall top brackets, customised brackets, offsets, and S-hooks, to mention a few.

Stafix Injection Moulding (Pietermaritzburg): This facility includes twelve injection moulding machines ranging from 80 to 500-ton capacity. All research, design, engineering and mould making is done locally. Stafix offers an internship every year to students from PTSA (Platform Technikon South Africa). We have employed many of these students upon their graduation. Our current intern, Becky, is a talented canoeist. We have enjoyed sponsorship of his equipment so that he can compete at the highest level.

JVA manufacturing and assembly (Kya Sand): Stafix uses a combination of local injection moulded casings, packaging and local labour to assemble SKD units supplied by manufacturers in South Africa, Australia, Thailand and China. These completed JVA products are exported to 56 countries worldwide, including electric fence energisers, monitors, directional fault finders, communication modules, and other accessories.

Roboguard (Durban): The Roboguard product range of wireless beams and receivers are designed and manufactured in-house in Durban and distributed locally and internationally via Stafix Security Centres and its appointed distributors. The products are tough and reliable and are made for the harsh UV conditions of South Africa.
