New APAC and IMEA role to drive customer-centric approach

Issue 4 2023 News & Events, Access Control & Identity Management

Mike Margrain.

Global security manufacturer, Gallagher has announced the promotion of Mike Margrain to the position of Regional Technical Manager for Asia-Pacific (APAC), India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA).

Having joined Gallagher Security in early 2008, initially as Technical Account Manager (Queensland, Northern Territory, and Papua New Guinea), and then as National Technical Manager for Australia over the past five years, Margrain will now play a pivotal role in providing guidance, support, and coaching to the technical teams across the APAC & IMEA regions.

Speaking about Margrain’s promotion, Executive Vice President of Gallagher APAC & IMEA, Craig Schutte said, “With 21 years of experience, Mike is a security industry leader. His expertise and knowledge are unparalleled and the value he adds to channel partners, customers, and our own business is indispensable. This makes him the perfect candidate to expand his remit across APAC and IMEA. His input and leadership will empower our teams across these regions to be even more effective. I have no doubt that he will excel in this new challenge and contribute greatly to the ongoing success of Gallagher Security.”

Regarding his new role, Margrain said, “One of the things I love about Gallagher Security is working with the people that I do. In this new role, I'm really looking forward to collaborating with and helping more of our in-market teams. At Gallagher, we create amazing products that provide outstanding solutions for our customers, but so much of our strength in the industry comes from our people around the world.

There is a huge opportunity to gain insights from our in-market experts and deliver richer and more valuable solutions to meet the customer requirements across that wider region. I'm excited to spend more time with our local APAC and IMEA teams to learn from them, mentor them, and help upskill them to be more effective.”
