PIR with rotatable lens

The OPTEX FlipX standard indoor PIR sensor with rotatable lens from Elvey (a company within the Hudaco Group of Companies) is a Grade 2 indoor motion detector with flexible lens for residential and light commercial security.

Equipped with OPTEX’s pyroelectric element for increased accuracy and performance, the FlipX Standard provides superior pet tolerance and mitigates false alarms. In addition to the human catch element, FlipX standard models have excellent tolerance to identify temperature changes from small animals and to avoid false alarms.

They are small and compact sensors, with a sleek and modern design, that easily blend in with their surroundings and are attractive to the eye. Models include the FLX-S-ST, standard PIR model, and FLX-S-DT, dual technology model.

Equipped with the latest technology pyroelectric sensor, the FlipX Standard ensures high performance and accuracy. What makes the sensor unique is its ability to adapt to the human shape and differentiate humans with greater clarity, thereby avoiding false alarms triggered by pets.

The FlipX Standard features OPTEXs innovative, time-and money-saving solution — the rotatable lens. The sensor comes with the factory setting of wide detection (85° at up to 12 metres), but by simply removing the cover and flipping the lens by 180°, you can create a whole new narrow detection area (up to 18 metres) for corridors, window protection, and more.

The spherical lens allows for sharp focus and high-performance detection by enabling each lens segment to face precisely towards its detection area and create detection zones without distortion.
