Onyyx is a new range of wireless indoor and outdoor detectors and beams from IDS, sporting a range of up to 200 m. It is designed to be easy to use as well as simple to install by scanning a QR code.
The 20-device security system affords the alarm user complete system control via the Onyyx smart app on Apple, Android or Huawei devices. With the Onyyx app, users can arm, disarm, monitor and bypass zones as well as view real-time notification of events through both Wi-Fi and GSM connections. The app is customisable to suit the user’s requirements.
Onyyx may also be controlled by a keyring remote and is fully compatible with indoor and outdoor IDS/OPTEX XWave 2 wireless detectors. Onyyx communicates through the IDS hyyp platform for control room monitoring signal transmission. Communication can be accomplished through LTE (including a dual-SIM option) with 2G fallback and Wi-Fi to ensure your alarm can connect to your local monitoring provider.
To cater for the ever-increasing Eskom blackouts, users receive about 12-hours of battery life on Onyyx HUB, and the wireless sensors support about 24-months of battery life.
