Smart home security

Evolution is defined as the process by which something adapts over time in response to a changing environment. In an evolving security market where integrations of ‘smart' solutions are improving the industry's ins and outs, the Olarm product range encapsulates how next-generation technology creates a smart security solution.

The applied use of smart technology within the Olarm ecosystem, through smart features coupled with existing systems, extends the benefits of technology into different spheres, such as security services providers, operational management, and user involvement.

Security of a 'smart' nature will continue to facilitate the industry's evolution. Olarm remains committed to embracing a mindset with the notion of contributing meaningfully and innovatively to the natural progression of smart security.

For an end user, remote management of their security system's most-used functions generates a high sense of convenience which could be seen as a modern-era need. Most new technologies that allow for such a feeling, generally come at a high cost and involve a few complexities. For service providers within the growing security industry, the need to optimise operations to reduce expenditure for general economic-business success is becoming a reality for many.

Every aspect of the experience provided by the Olarm PRO 4G and Olarm app has been crafted with both alarm-receiving centres and end users at the forefront of the product development. The Olarm communicator, the Olarm PRO 4G, is a product that contributes to the evolution of security systems and in-field operations. The device brings higher levels of redundancy to signal transmission through three levels of network connection (Wi-Fi and two Olarm-managed SIM cards) to transfer data to and from the communicator.

Smart features within the Olarm app show how new-generation security technology can be applied to ignite change that benefit Olarm partners and users. Namely, the Olarm Cancel Responder feature allows users to cancel any user-generated alarms from their app, immediately notifying the control room and thus sparing unnecessary callouts and associated costs.
