Issue 2 2022 News & Events

In addition to achieving ISO 27001 certification in April 2021, ISO 9001:2015 in August 2021, achieving ISO 27701 and ISO 22301 in February 2022 reinforces Secutel’s relentless focus on creating industry-leading products and services, measured against global benchmarks of industry excellence.

ISO 27001 is the international standard that is recognised globally for managing risks to security of information held. Certification to ISO 27001 allows the company to prove it is managing the security of information.

ISO 27001:2013 (the current version of ISO 27001) provides a set of standardised requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard adopts a process-based approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, maintaining and improving Secutel’s ISMS.

ISO 9001:2015 certification is an internationally recognised standard that ensures Secutel’s products and services meet the needs of customers through an effective quality management system.

ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS). It provides a practical framework for setting up and managing an effective business continuity management system. With this certification, Secutel safeguards the company and clients from a wide range of potential threats and disruptions.

ISO 27701 is a PIMS (Privacy Information Management System) for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving the handling of personal information and compliance to GDPR and the PoPI Act in South Africa.
