Remote monitoring made easy

Issue 2 2021 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

We are currently in a time where it seems like a majority of what we do (and depend on) is reliant on the Internet, whether it is IoT devices, mobile phones or social media. From entertainment, work and connecting with others, everything is readily available at our fingertips. Security it is no different from this trend.

With SecuVue from Secutel Technologies, it is possible for any business to monitor their offices, warehouses or stores remotely, from any part of the world, as long as they have an Internet connection.

With SecuVue CVR (Cloud Video Recorder), companies can turn almost any existing CCTV system into an intelligent system with a low-cost layout from the client.

You no longer need to invest in high-end cameras in order to do video analytics; the SecuVue platform enables standard cameras to have access to analytics such as facial collection and recognition, intrusion detection, activity heat mapping, people counting and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition).

Facial collection and recognition: Secutel's facial recognition analytics use technology that is capable of matching a human face from a digital image or a video frame against a database of faces. Typically employed to authenticate users through ID verification services, it works by pinpointing and measuring facial features from a given image. SecuVue correctly identifies gender, emotions and estimated age, and shortens the time-to-market for complex security and surveillance solutions.

Intrusion detection: As soon as an object moves into a defined area, an event is generated which can be processed according to situational demands and business rules defined by the user.

Activity heat maps: Heat mapping analytics allows one to grasp visitors' actions within a store, which areas clients are most attracted to, what products they search for and what motivates them to buy. After obtaining the data, you will learn which product line and zones are performing better and improve the aspects that lead people to buy.

With heat mapping analytics, you can understand the reasons behind the performance of successful areas and apply this knowledge to other zones to see the same or even better results.

People counting: As soon as a person crosses a virtual line, the person will be counted. The counting is performed directionally (two directions per line). Counting lines can be formed and oriented individually, thus enabling not only counting in passages, but also for various regions.

Automatic number plate recognition: Automatic number plate recognition uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates to create vehicle location data. It can use existing closed-circuit television, road-rule enforcement cameras or cameras specifically designed for the task.

With SecuVue, one can use ordinary cameras in a low traffic environment and ANPR-enabled cameras for high volume traffic environments to perform ANPR and check numbers against a watchlist. SecuVue is also integrated with the national database of wanted and suspect vehicles.
