Keeping the traffic flowing

One of the biggest aggravations that residents of secure estates face is bottlenecking of vehicles at entrance and exit points. Ensuring quick and safe passage of vehicles without compromising security is critical.

Turnstar’s Velocity Raptor automatic tyre spike and industrial vehicle barrier incorporates SwiftMove drive technology to ensure that the flow of vehicles is not impeded. The octagonal barrier arm is available in nine different lengths and operating speed varies from 2.8 seconds down to only 1.2 seconds. In all instances, seamless and precise speed control is provided through the barrier’s dynamic braking and slow stop features.

The barrier arm and spikes are driven by two separate motors. The spikes can be recessed or surface mounted and are automatically raised when the barrier arm is lowered, and lowered when the barrier arm is raised, to ensure safe passage of vehicles.

These highly durable barriers are not only aesthetically pleasing and reliable, but they are designed to provide users with the reassurance that their safety is paramount. Safety features include an integrated optic LED light strip for maximum visibility; intelligent 3D magneto-resistive vehicle collision detection and mid-cycle auto-reverse; infrared beam transmitter and receiver kit; and a non-invasive photoelectric diffuse sensor.
