Kitchen fire suppression systems

Issue 2 2020 Fire & Safety

Technoswitch has announced the addition of the new 16 litre and 25 litre TRIPLESTAR kitchen fire suppression systems to its range of automatic kitchen fire detection and suppression systems.

The expanded line-up, offered under the new TRIPLESTAR badge from Rotarex Firetec, broadens the portfolio of fire systems for commercial kitchens previously offered under the FireDETEC badge – creating a complete set of solutions.

Rotarex TRIPLESTAR systems use a proprietary, continuous-linear sensor tube to detect and actuate release of extinguishing agent using pneumatic technology. The systems easily install directly inside the extractor hood directly above cooking areas, with tubing pressurised with nitrogen to 16 bar.

When a flame-up occurs, the heat of the fire causes the pressurised sensor tube to burst at the hottest spot (±175°C). The sudden tube depressurisation instantly floods the cooking area with Class F extinguishing agent. The fire is suppressed in just moments – minimising damage and downtime.

All TRIPLESTAR kitchen fire suppression systems are tested and certified by LPCB.

• 9 litre cylinder protects the kitchen hood and up to two cooking zones.

• 16 litre cylinder protects the kitchen hood up to five cooking zones.

• 25 litre cylinder protects the kitchen hood up to eight cooking zones.

• The 16 and 25 litre systems offer pneumatic and/or electromagnetic detection options, as well as plug-and-play connection to an existing electronic detection system.
