Company profile: Vision Consulting

March 2012 Surveillance

Vision Consulting was founded in 2004 as a distributor of CCTV and related digital surveillance products. Today the company is an established distributor of CCTV cameras and accessories, such as DVRs, cabling, switches and other accessories.

Vision director, Ebrahim Choonara says the company is focused on delivering the full range of solutions customers looking for surveillance solutions will require. From cabling to storage devices and the cameras themselves, the company stocks them all and has a team of technicians ready to support customers in their CCTV projects.

Vision has its own brand of cameras, VisCam, which has found a receptive market in the Gauteng region. The reception has been so positive that the company’s growth will soon see it expanding to other regions of the country as it continues to grow organically. The company also has the African agency for the Keeper range of surveillance cameras, which Choonara says has started finding a foothold in the region.

One of the benefits of Vision’s range of solutions is the reasonable price for which they sell, while still delivering the quality performance customers demand. For those concerned about the service these brands will receive, Choonara adds that Vision has the full in-house capacity to repair all its merchandise and will also swap-out cameras under certain conditions. He also notes that the components Vision supports are some of the world’s most recognised brands, such as Sony’s CCDs.

Unlike many of today’s distributors, Vision is focused on a distribution model and does not undertake installations, ensuring it never competes with its resellers.

Choonara adds that Vision is a service-orientated company and prides itself on providing:

* The widest product range,

* Fast and efficient delivery,

* In-depth technical support

* Free system design,

* Extended warranties,

* Efficient repair services,

* Comprehensive training,

* Free pre-build and testing, and

* Hands-on demonstrations when required.

One of the latest additions to Vision’s product selection is a range of alarm products, from passives, to door contacts, sirens, panic buttons etc. This addition is in line with the company’s policy of delivering full solutions from a one-stop shop.

The growth Vision has experienced over the past eight years is proof of the value it delivers and the confidence its customers have in its products and service.
