Multibiometric reader

Access & Identity Management Handbook 2012 Access Control & Identity Management

Building on the success of the LK188 Facial reader, Regal has launched the LK188-1 Multi-bio Reader. It includes the functionality of the LK188, with the addition of a build-in RFID card/tag reader.

The LK188 terminal adopts ZKSoftware’s latest ZEM600 platform with ZK Face 7.0 algorithm and large capacity memory. The LK188-1 with integrated 630 MHz high-speed ZK Multi-Bio processor and high-definition infrared camera enables fast, accurate user identification, even in the dark environment.

Identification can be performed by face recognition, fingerprint, PIN and/or RFID card/tag, or a combination of these. All operations of the LK188-1 can be performed on the 3-inch TFT touch screen. Multimode communications includes RS232, RS485 and TCP/IP enabling easy PC control and log retrieval with the included software. A relay output makes it suitable for controlling electronic locks, while a Weigand interface enables easy connection to third-party access control systems for even greater security.
