New year, new look

January 2010 News & Events

Welcome to the first Hi-Tech Security Solutions of 2010. As you can see, we have been at work over the Christmas break putting the final touches to the design of the magazine. The new look is designed to give Hi-Tech Security Solutions a modern look and feel, while making it an easier read.

Of course, being easier to read does not mean less valuable editorial. Along with the new look, we are proud to have Leigh Yorke-Smith on board permanently. An experienced journalist, Leigh has already made a significant impact to the editorial quality of Hi-Tech Security Solutions, a trend we will capitalise on in the years to come. Regular readers will have seen Leigh’s contribution to our features over the past few issues, a contribution welcomed by all.

Leigh will now also be running a few of our regular sections as well as placing more focus on our Risk Management section to keep us in line with international security trends. This increased focus on editorial excellence will provide our readers with added information and insight they can apply in their everyday business operations.

As our industry evolves, Hi-Tech Security Solutions is also evolving. Security is not a standalone operation any more. The involvement of IT is a factor we are increasingly seeing in almost every aspect of the industry, while risk management and governance drivers are also including security as a core competency of running a business.

Our new tagline, “The journal for security, operations and risk management” reflects our enhanced positioning and the greater emphasis on security in almost every aspect of business today.

We believe our new format and stronger focus on editorial excellence will deliver a more pertinent and insightful read. Please feel free to voice your opinions to me at [email protected].
