Sesco's Securex 2000, the best ever

March/April 2000 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

Douglas Luscombe, Sales and Marketing Director for Sesco was tired but exhilarated on his return to Durban following a very successful Securex 2000. He had this to say about the show, "It was phenomenal, the best exhibition ever! We sent out about 3000 personal invitations to customers and that was certainly a success for us.

"Not only did a good number of our clients visit the show, the quality of the clients was good with many of the 'big guys' showing a great deal of interest in our stand.

"We were extremely busy over all three days and the main focus of interest was the newly launched Orbit-6 and 6+2, with many customers expressing their satisfaction with how user friendly and easy to program these products are. We also launched the new Windows up/download software and Orbit-Pro wireless range of products."

Comprehensive range of panels

"Over the past few years Sesco has had a very limited range of control panels with which to satisfy the market. Now, for the first time, we have a more comprehensive range of panels - from a four to six zone, six to eight zone, through to an eight to 96 zone panel. This means that the smallest domestic application right through to the most complex industrial installation can be catered for."

Adds Luscombe, "It's a good feeling to know that we have started to re-establish ourselves as an industry leader in the field of electronic security equipment.

"Of course, what kept us going over the past couple of years without a full range of control panels was Rokonet's fantastic range of PIR detectors, our range of CCTV products and of course our commitment to customer service. Now we can combine all that with a more complete range of products, especially affordable panels, and I can foresee that the sky's going to be the limit for Sesco. We received a great number of confirmed orders during the duration of the show, which we were very happy with."

Visiting dignitaries

"Two Israeli dignitaries from Rokonet paid a visit during the course of the show. Michael Baritzy and Itzik Baron spent time interacting with Sesco staff and clients and presented the company as well as both myself and Peter Cole with "Outstanding Achievement Awards" in recognition and appreciation of exemplary contribution to the growth and success of Rokonet products. Sesco experienced tremendous expansion over the past year with growth in the sales of Rokonet products in excess of 40%.

"To all those who attended the show and contributed to its success and to those customers who supported us, I'd like to say a big thank you!"
